Rollout of Standard ICS

in a German OEM with Consileon as the PMO Partner

The project involves the company-wide implementation of a comprehensive IT system for recording and managing process risks in the risk management of a large German automotive group. The system supports the uniform recording, analysis, and monitoring of risks and controls across various corporate divisions. Consileon was commissioned to oversee the data migration, where selected companies and brands of the group feed their data into the system to enable a uniform risk assessment and identify weaknesses. The data migrations are taking place in three waves, which will be completed by 2025.

Challenges and Solutions

One of the biggest challenges was to carry out the data migration smoothly and efficiently while ensuring adherence to deadlines and maintaining data quality. Consileon relied on thorough planning and coordination to conduct the data migrations in close collaboration with the involved stakeholders, companies, and brands. Regular reviews and quality controls were conducted to identify and resolve potential issues early on.

Implementation

Consileon took on the role of the Project Management Office (PMO) and was responsible for ensuring project progress, meeting relevant deadlines, and project control, including quality and schedule monitoring. This also included the development and implementation of processes for effective monitoring and control of the system rollout across the entire automotive group.

Results and Successes

Through close collaboration with the project team, Consileon successfully carried out the rollout of the risk recording system. The past data migrations were completed on schedule, maintaining a high level of data quality. The introduction of the system led to improved uniformity of risks and controls across the group and enabled effective identification and addressing of weaknesses.

In addition to the rollout, Consileon has also supported the preparatory phase in regular operations. Furthermore, our clients have relied on our specialized team for years in testing process risks, where the recorded risks and controls are reviewed, and weaknesses are identified in collaboration with the companies. The Consileon team has established itself as an external tester with various companies and brands.
